I am past President of the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, past President of the Section of Laryngology & Rhinology of the Royal Society of Medicine and I have been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Rhinological Society. I have previously been Academic Chair for the British Academic Conference in ENT, and a Royal College of Surgeons Examiner in Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. In 2024 I was honoured to be made a Lifetime Member of ENTUK, our national association.
I am an Honorary Clinical Professor at Edge Hill University where I lead a Master’s degree course in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. I am also a Deputy Editor of the Journal of Laryngology & Otology.
Publications, Lectures & Courses
I have over 60 journal publications & book chapters related to ENT Surgery, and I was a Co-Editor of the leading UK ENT textbook. I am also author of the ENT chapter in the latest edition of the textbook Clinical Negligence. Each year I am invited to lecture and teach at several national and international ENT courses & conferences.
